On October, 06, 2008 Murale gunmen waged war on a Gharri village located about two kilometers west of Mandera town near Koromay. However, the Murale gunmen were repulsed by the villagers themselves, and there is no number of casualties reported. According to our informant, the Murale criminals’ evil intensions to Massacre as many villagers, as they did on Tuesday March 15, 2005 at El Golicha, El Wak District has been crashed at this time.

 The Murale criminals latest violence against the Gharri people were believed to be disparate attempt using newest land grabbing tactics in order to create fear in the minds of the  Gharri village people so that they may leave or move out for the fear of being attacked. However, it will backfire on them.
